Commercial Construction in Albany, Oregon

At Standard Commercial Construction, we’re honored to support Albany, Oregon’s unique legacy as the “Hub of the Valley”—steeped in agricultural heritage, historic architecture, and the pioneering spirit since its founding in 1848. Nestled at the confluence of the Willamette and Calapooia rivers, Albany has long served as a vital shipping, processing, and production center for the region’s grain and grass‑seed industries, evolving into a diverse civic and economic hub with one of the most varied collections of historic buildings in the state.

Whether you’re planning a tenant improvement, multi-family residential construction, a public works facility, or a historic restoration project, SCC brings the technical expertise and aligned local values to serve at a high level. Our experience in concrete foundations, structural concrete, steel stud framing, prefabricated metal building erection, and both rough and finish carpentry positions us to navigate both modern builds and classic refurbishments with equal skill.

We understand the added responsibilities when working in historic districts, where permitting, preservation guidelines, and safety codes require careful coordination with city planners and historical committees.

SCC’s clients gain a collaborator who honors Albany’s identity, supports its evolving infrastructure, and ensures every project is completed to the highest standards in construction.

Meet the Founder

Brad Christophersen

At an early age I was always interested in building things with my hands. I built everything from backyard treehouses to BMX ramps which eventually translated into spending my summer breaks during high school working construction and learning the trades.

After high school, I went into construction full time with a strong desire to learn from the most experienced craftsmen I could find, which is what led me to commercial construction. Since then, I’ve worked as a Tradesman, Carpenter Foreman, a Superintendent, and a Project Manager. All of which gave me a wealth of knowledge and a well-rounded perspective of how to build something from the ground up.

In March of 2022, Standard Commercial Construction was born out of my desire to establish a standalone, professional company to collaborate with other building professionals to construct high-quality, long-standing structures that serve our community.

I enjoy establishing lasting connections with people, whether that’s with the staff here at SCC or with General Contractors. Overcoming challenges and collaborating with others, working as a team to find the most suitable solution and executing that plan successfully is incredibly rewarding. I believe building solid relationships based on respect and performance is what drives our industry forward.

I’m so proud of what we’re able to accomplish as a team. Bringing our specialized skills to the jobsite and being part of building structures on such a large scale, working with an incredibly talented group of people, who value honesty and hard work just as much as I do, it’s a privilege.
